This graphic was designed as a minimalistic visualization of the concept of dwelling with God. It shows the conflict between the pressures and distractions of the world and the expansive peace that comes from dwelling with God.
The border is colorless (lifeless). The black bars represent the distractions of the world (social media, school, jobs, relationships, etc.). The pressure from those distractions is displayed in the black bar crossing into the image. The text comes from Psalm 46 (a basis for the theme) and emphasize the core of the passage. “Though the earth trembles” gives weight to the need for a stronghold. The back bar next to that excerpt also serves as a fill-in-the-blank for whatever may be shaking your world.
The inside image is vibrant and peaceful. The contrast against the border emphasizes that spending time with God changes everything. The ocean represents God’s unending love and mercy, the vastness of Him and His character, and a feelings of peacefulness. It also shows a distance from the world and distractions.
